About Middle School
At DSPS, our Middle School programme is designed to facilitate holistic development through skill-based modules and art integration. Recognising the importance of nurturing well-rounded individuals, we offer a diverse range of learning experiences that go beyond traditional academics. Students engage in design thinking, mask-making, and other hands-on projects that encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Through interdisciplinary approaches, we foster a deeper understanding of real-world concepts and connections across various subjects. Our dedicated faculty members mentor and guide students, instilling values of resilience, empathy, and adaptability — preparing them to navigate the challenges of adolescence and beyond with confidence and competence.
What They Learn
Grades 6–8: English, Kannada/Hindi/Sanskrit (per the language policy), Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer Science, Art Integration, and skill-based modules including Design Thinking and interdisciplinary project work.
Medium of Instruction & Languages
Continuation of the First/Second/Third language structure — students build on the foundation from Grade 5 with increasing depth in reading, writing, and comprehension across all three languages.
Faculty & Mentors
Our Middle School faculty are equipped to guide students through one of the most formative stages of adolescence. They combine subject mastery with mentorship — helping students navigate not just coursework, but the emotional and social growth that comes with this age.
Teaching Methodology
Teaching methods at this stage are built to make learning engaging, inspiring, and fun. At the Middle School level, teachers use technology, child-centric teaching, and experiential learning in the classroom to make the teaching process more efficient. Group learning, through segmenting students into teams, is a powerful way to build collaboration and teamwork skills. Students are encouraged to engage in interdisciplinary learning, combining ideas from different subjects and reflecting critically on every new concept or issue they encounter.
